1. The Franciola is a Agritourismo which basically translates in English to a working farm/bed and breakfast. The Franciola is a organic farm with about eight apartments. It truly is an experience that you will never forget. There are sheep, goats, pigs, donkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs, cats, pheasants, rabbits etc. The views are truly incredible and the food is all home made from the wines to the breads to the garden salads, etc. etc. etc. The apartments are lovely, clean, they contain full kitchens etc. The cost is roughly 30 euro a person per night. See their website: http://www.orvienet.it/agriturismo.franciola/
2. Castello di Proceno. Is a 11th century castle sitting on the hilltop of an ancient Etruscan town. The apartments are elegantly furnished in the true Tuscan style, they have beautiful gardens with swimming pool and two restaurants. This is another experience that you will never forget See their website for prices etc. http://www.castellodiproceno.it/
Q: How do I get to your home and studio?
A: The easiest way to arrive here is by flying into Rome. From there you can rent a car and it is just about a two hour drive by car to my home and studio nearby Proceno. I will meet you in Proceno and help to get you situated in your chosen accommodations.
Q: Do I have to have rent a car?
A: The choice is yours. I can come to pick you up from the train station in Orvieto. When you arrive at the Rome Airport you will need to take a commuter train to the main train station in Rome, which is easy to do. After arriving in the Rome Train station you transfer to a train that will make a stop in Orvieto where I will pick you up. It’s a one hour train ride to Orvieto. I charge 4o euro to pick you and 4o euro to drop you back off at the train station in Orvieto. Its a one hour ride from my house and studio to Orvieto.
Q: If I have other question pertaining to the workshop that are not listed in your FAQ’s list, how can I learn more?
